As we journey with Christ during this time of Lent we are led to recognise some of the most important individuals, experiences and situations in our spiritual growth and development as children of God. Mothering Sunday last week gave us an opportunity to reflect more about people whose love, care and concern for us has made such a big difference in our lives. In certain parts of the world Mothering Sunday and Mothers’ Day are said to be one and the same thing. Writing on a social media forum, a loving daughter said of their mother, ‘My lovely, kind, wise and talented Mum. Happy Mother’s Day’. Regarding Mothering Sunday, words of gratitude can be extended further to include other family members, social networks and indeed the Church as the place and context where care and support can flourish.:......
